I was frustrated with the initial unit I had ordered because the remote programming in not intuitive and I could not get the vacuum to start on time. I returned that unit and tried another manufacturer, and then I understood how far superior the Goovi unit is. I re-ordered a second Goovi, followed the remote programming instructions, and have been very happy with it.The unit is very adept at cleaning the floor, with good suction. It does a good job with navigation, but it does not have navigation memory, so it skips over areas (my cleaning area is about 2000 sf), but if you use it every day, it jets the job done. It is certainly a very dependable unit, and I recommend it highly. If you follow what's in the manual, its easy and you will be happy with it.
I purchased this robot vacuum after researching and comparing to others that sells because I was about to move into a house that is all wood flooring and knew I'd need regular cleaning to keep away the feel of sand and bumps on bare feet. After reading the reviews and overall bang for the buck, I decided on this one. The instructions are pretty straight forward and the remote has plenty of options to set the robot on, including the ability to schedule cleanings, do just the edges, or go to max suctioning for heavier areas. The charging station has a space in the back to tuck the excess cord length after you plug it in, which is convenient and a nice little touch that I didn't expect. The vacuum came with an extra filter and two extra brushes, batteries already installed, and batteries for the remote. This was also a pleasant surprise since I'm now surrounded by moving boxes and digging for two AAA batteries would have been a pain. When starting up, the vacuum itself emits a beep and then gets to work. Of course it has a hum but it's not loud, and definitely much quieter than any upright vacuum. It does bump into things gently and will turn and go another direction when that happens. So far it hasn't been enough of a jolt to do any damage or knock anything down, just a light tap. It finds it's way back to the charging station well, and when it's fully charged the power light on top goes from red to blue.Overall I'm very happy with this little guy. It's getting the job done while I'm busy doing other things, and it was a much more affordable option than many others out there.
I've been increasingly dubious about highly positive reviews so tentatively decided to buy this Goovi robot vacuum. I have to say, I've only had it a couple of days but my mind has been blown. This thing cleans my two bedroom apartment fast, and it spookily learns the layout of your home, and rapidly adapts to the movement of things like chairs etc.The biggest win is that this little robot makes dog hair a thing of the past. When I run it, it comes back with a full load of hair. As other reviewers have highlighted, this thing does a far better job than when I vacuum - it goes under every sofa, chair and table (it even squeezes itself under the tv stand) and methodically cleans out every last hair.A few takeaways for me:1. How did we live harmoniously with pets before robot vacuums?!2. Watching this thing "learn" is fascinating and also ominous (how long before robots take over the world?!)3. It's faster and better at vacuuming than I am4. I'm already learning to love it and begin keeping my floor clutter free so it can do its job more easily
I know, I know, people look at you weird when you start talking about your robotic vacuum but seriously, who cares? This is my second robotic vacuum and I can't believe I waited an entire year to replace Marvin (my first). I finally decided I'd had enough trying to keep up with the gosh darn dog hair and sand on my carpet and tile from our golden retriever, Buddy. I was having to run my upright at least twice daily but it seemed like I was still discovering dog hair all over the floor again just as soon as Buddy walked through the house. I'm not a clean freak but dog gone it, I can't handle all the hair every where but who wants to drag out the upright multiple times a day? I swear, my husband thought I never cleaned house! Then, low and behold, it seemed like someone read my mind, because all of a sudden I was seeing the robots on sale everywhere, but there were SO MANY to chose from! I really liked my last one but it was just a bit too tall and would wedge itself under the front edge of the dishwasher every time and couldn't go under the door on the entertainment center if it had been left open so I knew I needed to really pay attention to the height. That's when I saw the Goovi. It had more power than most I looked at but the deciding factor was the slim design and long run time. Mavis (yes, I name my vacuums, lol) is AWESOME! She has enough battery life to go over the lower level of our house multiple times and has several different settings, so you decide how you want her to clean. She's slim enough to go under everything without getting stuck, and does an excellent job along the baseboards so you don't end up with spotty cleaning. Now I just program her to run in the evening after everyone else is in bed and we wake up to a house that is freshly vacuumed. There are only a couple areas that could be improved on and that is the beater bar, it does a good job but the hair does collect on it so you have to flip the vacuum over every once in a while and clean the hair off it...it's not a huge deal but can be annoying if you don't like to do that sort of thing. I wouldn't rely on this as your only vacuum, as I don't believe it deep cleans as well as a good strong upright, but it is wonderful for the day to day cleaning and fooling your husband into thinking you've been hard at work. Now I can start Mavis and sneak off for a girls day out, coming home to clean floors and nobody is the wiser. If you've been on the fence about trying a robotic, you won't be disappointed with the Goovi.
We've named our vacuum Beauford. We love him, he is beyond awesome & worth every cent!!! However, he has brought some things to our attention so I will list the heads up things below as well.*Quick set up, my 9 y/o had him working in less than 5 min!*hardwood floors to area rugs (without fring) with ease*great suction, gets everything*comes with the remote (& batteries!) To set cleaning schedules, spot cleans etc.*I only empty ours once every 48 hrs. We live in a fairly large house on a farm. 3 kids living at home who "forget" to take their shoes/boots off in the mud room half the time.Heads up!*cable managent ahead of time will save you untangling time. This vacuum is thorough. Thin cables like charger cables. Surround sound cables behind/under the entertainment center etc.* He vacuums in a odd unorganized fashion. If you have carpet dont plan on perfect straight lines. Its unorganized but he is thorough. He will get it all done.*if you have hardwood or tile still plan on mopping. This vacuum did not attend Hogwarts & cannot magically spot clean your homes for you. Hes a vacuum, not a mop.... or wizard.I know that the price of this seems low compared to the rest online. I kept my expectations fairly low because the "you get what you pay for" thing. I am blown away by how well Beauford cleans. I wouldnt sit here & type this long review out on my phone if I didn't feel so strongly about how much you will enjoy this once you buy it. You can go look at the expensive ones all you want. But I promise you, Beauford would kick their asses any day of the week for a fraction of the price!
